Leadership
Jones Program Leadership
Bobby Jones passed away in 1971. As friends considered ways to honor and continue his legacy, a focus on education became an obvious choice. In 1976, friends of Bobby Jones in New York and elsewhere organized programming to align with two institutions of higher education dear to Jones’ heart: Emory University and St Andrews in Scotland.
Today, the Robert T. Jones Jr. Program continues to grow and thrive thanks to the thoughtful attention, generosity and leadership of a committee and trust at Emory and St Andrews.
EMORY JONES ADVISORY COMMITTEE
Appointed by the President of Emory University, who is also an ex officio member, the Emory Jones Advisory Committee helps to guide the selection of Bobby Jones Scholars and Fellows and provides substantive feedback on planning related to the program.
